Berwick Academy seeks a dynamic and creative Science Teacher to cover a medical leave from mid-November to mid-December 2025. This position includes teaching four sections of high school science, with a primary focus in Biology.

The successful candidate will: 

• Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with existing curriculum and learning objectives.

• Differentiate instruction and assessments to support a range of learners.

• Integrate technology to enhance student engagement and learning.

• Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress.

• Communicate with primary teacher about student progress at the conclusion of the coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Teach two sections of Advanced Biology, one section of Nutrition & Exercise Physiology, and one section of Anatomy & Physiology.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in science education, with proficiency in Biology.

• Experience applying innovative, student-centered teaching practices.

• Understanding of adolescent development and current pedagogical best practices.

• Flexible, self-directed, and collaborative, with a commitment to students’ growth both in and out of the classroom.
