Berwick Academy, a Pre-K- Grade 12 co-educational independent day school of 550 students, seeks a Director of The Berwick Fund. The position includes the oversight of the School’s $800,000 unrestricted annual giving program, restricted current use giving, and donor stewardship. This person will also serve as a liaison to the Berwick Parent Community, supporting the work that they do to build and nurture the parent community. The successful candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills and be a team player who is innovative, creative, and enjoys being challenged. This position relies on significant teamwork within the Advancement office and requires a person with strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills. The successful candidate will have at least five years of advancement or similar experience and will hold a Bachelor’s degree. Experience with Raiser’s Edge is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategy and plan for The Berwick Fund (restricted and unrestricted current use gifts), including articulating the case, setting goals, personal solicitations, phone solicitations, direct mail, online marketing, and social media outreach.

• Build, oversee, and direct volunteer participation in The Berwick Fund.

• Assist the Assistant Head of School for External Affairs in establishing goals for The Berwick Fund.

• Oversee acknowledgements and pledge reminders for all annual campaigns and appeals.

• Analyze and track annual giving results and develop annual fund reports.

• Manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving donors and prospects.

• Plan and execute parent events and assist with new family onboarding.

• Manage the design and execution of stewardship plans for donors and top prospects.

• Oversee the production of the annual Philanthropy Report and Leadership Donor Report.

• Report on all endowed funds and named funds annually.

• Provide comprehensive support to the Berwick Parent and Grandparent Community.
