Berwick Academy, a PreK-Grade 12 co-educational day school located in southern Maine seeks an Assistant Kindergarten Teacher to join its Lower School. Berwick’s Kindergarten program is based on the whole child philosophy of creating a respectful and responsible learning community through exploration and discovery, involving meaningful social-emotional interactions, core academic readiness experiences and meaningful connections with a blend of special subjects.  Central to the typical Kindergarten classroom experience is project-based learning and collaborative team-teaching. Qualified candidates will have a passion for and experiences with Early Childhood Education (including outdoor education) and an eagerness to be part of a team-teaching experience in supporting the Lead Kindergarten Teacher, while carrying out various large- and small-group instructional and classroom management experiences. The ability to foster positive relationships with students and their families, an interest in collaborating with Lower School through Upper School colleagues and strong communication and writing skills are also qualities of a successful candidate. This position begins in the 2025-2026 academic year.
